Back to the Bayou is a collection of short stories and essays by Steve Achord reminiscing on his years growing up in Patterson, Louisiana. Separate from the collection Son of a Preacher Man, these stories emphasize the simple pleasures and experiences of growing up in South Louisiana in the late 70’s and early 80’s from Achord’s point of view.
